Project overview
Two years. Two distinct product programs.
For Porsche’s 2023 and 2024 New Year gifting programs, the brief changed from a custom whisky gift set to a custom travel wallet / organiser. Both were large-volume projects, with production volumes in the tens of thousands.
- 2023 + 2024
- Consecutive annual programs
- Tens of thousands
- Production volumes
- Multiple supply chains
- Products, processes and packaging
This project was delivered by our Shanghai sourcing team, Shanghai Neway Insourcing Co., Ltd., and forms part of the sourcing experience that supports TL Enterprises today.
The brief
Premium presentation, developed around a commercial target.
Each program needed to meet the client’s detailed quality and presentation requirements while remaining practical to manufacture at scale. The team coordinated supplier sourcing, design development, material selection, sampling, cost engineering, production, inspection, packaging and bulk delivery.
2023 program
Custom Whisky Gift Set
The gift set brought together two custom whisky glasses, Porsche-branded metal whisky cubes, an internal insert and presentation gift box, with branded presentation components and protective packaging.
The challenge was to use glass to achieve the clarity, visual presentation, weight and premium feel associated with crystal-style glassware, within the client’s commercial target.
Development across products and packaging
Repeated design revisions and multiple sampling rounds refined the glass appearance, metal cube branding and packaging. Production details were followed through to final quality control so the components could work together as a complete gift set.

Individual inspection · Large-volume production
Quality Control at Scale
Each glass was individually inspected under directed light as part of the final quality-control process.
A flashlight was used to examine the glass closely, making the inspection method specific to the product’s clarity and finish.
What was checked
- Bubbles
- Marks
- Clarity
- Visible imperfections

2024 program
Custom Travel Wallet / Organiser
The following year introduced a different product, different materials and a different manufacturing process. The team coordinated material selection, structure development, sampling and component sourcing, followed by cutting, stitching, hand assembly and finishing.

Construction around the brief
Development covered zipper construction, card slots and an embossed Porsche crest. The material was selected to meet the program’s design and performance requirements.
From samples to bulk production
The program progressed through production, final quality control and individual packaging, with volumes in the tens of thousands.

Production at scale
Following the detail through every batch.
Bulk production brought together component preparation, assembly, stitching, finishing and individual packaging. Coordination continued across these stages through final quality control and delivery preparation.

From different supply chains to one standard
Different products.
Same sourcing discipline.
From glassware and metal accessories to stitched goods and presentation packaging, each program required a different supply chain — coordinated through the same structured sourcing process.
