A relationship that grows with the client
Project Overview
TL Enterprises has worked with Varsity over a number of years, supporting its expanding venue network with commercial furniture, venue equipment, branded items and custom merchandise. What began as venue furniture sourcing developed into an ongoing, multi-category supply partnership supporting more than 10 venues.
As Varsity grew, each new venue brought a new brief. Repeat and replacement orders continued alongside new fit-out requirements, additional equipment categories and products carrying the Varsity brand. The relationship developed around these changing needs, rather than ending with a single furniture order.

Repeat briefs. Continuing support.
From One Brief to an Ongoing Partnership
The relationship evolved as Varsity grew. New venue requirements, repeat sourcing and replacement products created a continuing need for a partner who understood previous specifications and could also work through fresh custom requirements.
TL coordinates across suppliers and product categories, bringing supplier communication, sampling and production follow-up into the sourcing process. This gives Varsity a familiar point of contact as requirements move between existing venues, new locations and new product ideas.
Commercial furniture
Commercial Furniture Across Multiple Venues
The furniture scope spans stools, dining chairs, tables, bar furniture, sofas, outdoor furniture and custom seating. It includes both repeat items and venue-specific products, with the sourcing brief shaped around intended use, dimensions, materials and finishes.
Current project materials continue to include detailed furniture schedules and custom configurations for new venues, including curved banquette seating and venue-specific table requirements. These briefs show the variety involved in hospitality procurement; each proposed requirement must still be reviewed and coordinated through its own sourcing and production process.

Repeatability with room to customise
Consistency Across a Growing Venue Network
A growing venue network needs consistency without limiting the ability to customise each new brief. Different locations, opening schedules and suppliers must come together around a recognisable brand experience.
TL’s role includes matching previous specifications, sourcing repeat items, coordinating samples and maintaining the required finish, colour and dimensions. Alongside this, the team works through new custom requirements, communicates with suppliers and follows production so that repeat needs and new briefs can be managed together.

Practical venue needs
Venue Equipment & Practical Requirements
Furniture was only one part of the relationship. TL also sourced venue equipment, including outdoor and gas heaters, and other application-specific products as venue requirements evolved.
Where required, products were sourced against relevant Australian compliance and operating requirements. The sourcing process considers the intended application and the product requirements, with relevant supplier documentation reviewed as part of the brief.

Branded merchandise & customer experience
Beyond the Venue Fit-Out
The sourcing relationship increasingly extended beyond the physical venue fit-out into products that support the Varsity brand and customer experience. Branded napkins and takeaway-bag labelling were part of the early public project record. The broader scope has since included stickers, custom venue items, promotional products, merchandise and gifts.
Custom Varsity-branded basketballs were developed as part of this broader merchandise program. The basketball and custom-branded beverage dispenser shown below illustrate how the relationship can extend into customer-facing products while retaining Varsity’s own visual identity.

Merchandise & Redemption-Product Development
TL also supports ongoing merchandise and redemption-product development, including sampling, product sourcing, quality review and price-break evaluation across different categories. Products explored through these briefs remain development or sourcing work until final production and delivery are confirmed.
